General Information The Vidya Scholarship will cover full tuition for the entire length of the program, and in some cases cover lodging and some other expenses. Currently enrolled students must maintain their Merit Status and submit their progress report in order to renew their scholarship.
Scholarship Eligibility
Prospective Candidates should fulfill the following eligibility requirements to be considered for Vidya Scholarship:
1) Should have secured admission in engineering or medical college for the academic year 2007-2008
2) Only students who secure admission by merit will be considered. Students who secure admission by paying Capitation fee will not be considered for Scholarship
3) Students should demonstrate Financial Need.
Application and Attachments
- Completed Application form with photograph
- Proof of admission in the Engineering/Medical College for the year 2007-2008
- Attested copy of the higher secondary mark sheet (+2). Attestation can be done by any Gazetted officer of the State/Central Government or Headmaster of the school, or by the Principal/Dean, or Head of the Department of the present college.
- Proof of income of the parents from the employer, Income Tax Return or from appropriate authorities as the case may be.
- A Personal Statement describing why you deserve the scholarship.
All Documents Must Be Submitted With The Application For Scholarship Consideration. If acceptance letter from the engineering or medical school is not available at the time of submittal of the application, it should be submitted later as soon as possible.
Timeline For Application
- Completed Application Form along with required Attachments should be submitted by mail or electronically to the addresses shown below by May 30th, 2007. Incase acceptance letters are not available by this date, they should be submitted later as soon as possible.
- There will be a telephone interview before the final selection is made.
- Candidates selected for Vidya Scholarship will be informed before the start of the academic year.
